When you book a guided tour, you pay within LightUp through well-known payment providers. That way you always know what happens to your money.

With Mercado Pago, in Colombian pesos. Only for tours by guides in Colombia.
When you're charged
By card (Stripe)
The amount is held on your card and only charged if the guide accepts your booking, within 24 hours at most. If they don't accept or don't reply, you're not charged anything.
With Mercado Pago
You're charged right away. If the guide doesn't accept or doesn't reply in time, we refund you; it may take a few days to show.
On the day of the tour
Your money doesn't reach the guide until one hour after the tour ends.
If the guide doesn't show up, let us know from your booking (from 15 minutes after the start time): if the tour didn't happen, we refund you in full.
Cancelling
Until the guide has accepted, you can cancel your request.
Once the guide accepts, the booking can no longer be cancelled.
Your payment details
You pay on the Stripe or Mercado Pago page. LightUp never sees or stores your card details.
